Learn about this most ancient of sports, as you handle and fly one of our trained hawks to your glove! As a result of participating in this course, you will learn…

  • about the history of falconry, its origins and growth throughout the ages.
  • about the important role that raptors (hawks, eagles, owls and falcons) play in their ecosystems and Falconry’s key role in raptor conservation efforts.
  • the Five Skills of the Falconer (the basic skills that falconers use every day when trapping, training, and hunting, with their birds) as you work “hands-on” with one of our hawks.
